Welcome to the new website of Green Cross Nederland (GCNL).
On this site you will find information about Green Cross as
an organisation, our mode of operation and our
mission statement.
Green Cross Nederland is affiliated to Green Cross
International. As such we can independently
implement projects under the banner of and in line with
the Green Cross International programmes.
On the 18th of April 1993 Green Cross International
(GCI)has been presented to the worldpress in Kyoto,
exactly four years prior to the Kyoto Protocol. Honorary guest
of this event was Mikhail
Gorbachev who founded Green Cross.
Mikhail Gorbachev has seen the
Green Cross organisation grow to the
notable international organisation it is today
with national Green Cross affiliates in over 25 countries
worldwide. As Chairman of the Board he has been
involved ever since and holds the organisation close
to his heart.
